The Viewpoint VBX includes a transceiver device that connects your computer or television to the wall jack and includes Windows software to make dialing easy.

Share Networked MultiMedia
Users can share multimedia resources such as CATV feeds, video servers, VCRs, Video Disk players and compressed video WAN connections. In fact, users can share these resources together with multi-point video conferencing, while enjoying full-screen, NTSC or PAL quality video at the desktop. Viewpoint VBX offers OEMs, VARs and Systems Integrators the tools to construct high-performance, high quality multimedia networked solutions over existing building wiring.

Doesn’t Burden the LAN
Unlike other multimedia LAN systems, Viewpoint VBX does not rely on highly compressed video, quarter-screen resolution, or high-performance LAN architectures for operation. Instead, Viewpoint VBX utilizes a unique Media Switched Architecture which delivers high-quality video and audio content over a hub-and-spoke twisted-pair wiring topology, utilizing the corporate LAN only for client-server control and communications. Viewpoint VBX can network hundreds of simultaneous streams of NTSC-quality, full-screen video without compression.

Configurable and Expandable
Viewpoint VBX offers an economical yet high-performance solution compared to other approaches which require expensive LAN and desktop upgrades. Economical systems can be configured for a small workgroup, or scaled to video-enable an entire enterprise consisting of multiple interconnected LANs supporting hundreds of users. All Viewpoint VBX components are available separately, providing an ideal solution for VARs and systems integrators developing custom multimedia networks.
